Planets Montessori Nursery

Planets Montessori Nursery is a nursery in Al Tiwayya, Al Ain. Planets Montessori Nursery provides a secure and supportive environment in which the children from newborn to years will learn to play and work co-operatively with their peers and adults at the nursery. The children will be given opportunities and experiences in which to develop socially, mentally and physically. This will enable them to adapt to an ever changing world. Planets Montessori Nursery Children The Montessori philosophy is founded upon the child′s natural curiosity and love of learning, with all the materials required for learning within their reach and easily accessible. The children attempt new goals at their own pace, and are always encouraged by qualified caring staff. the nursery therefores encourage them to participate in all activities in a happy stimulating environment provided by a combination of Montessori methods and nursery activities.

Planets Montessori Nursery was founded in 2006 in Al Ain, UAE. The ages of the children are from 1-4 years old, with a section for babies from 0-12 months.

Planets Montessori Nursery's Nursery has 8 classrooms, equipped with child-sized furniture, materials and shelving. In addition, Planets Montessori Nursery has two play areas offering a wide variety of equipment for all kinds of play. the nursery alsos offer a Montessori pre-primary curriculum presented by the nursery's certified Montessori teacher, who uses authentic Montessori learning materials. Furthermore, Planets Montessori Nursery also offer English, Scholastic, Activities and Arabic/Islamic and French programs, as well as 2 enrichment programs available, which are physical education and music.

The daily lessons are arranged to address the 5 developmental stages for the Montessori Curriculum, as follows: Practical Life: Encourages care of the environment to promote independence with the child. Sensorial: Use of the 5 senses, touch, taste, smell, sound and sight. Language: Reading programs, with phonetic games, sandpaper letters and the moveable alphabet. Math's: Numerals, spindles, long rods and number mats. Cultural Materials: Multicultural projects, science and geography.
