Little Horizon Nursery

Little Horizon Nursery is a nursery in Umm Suqeim, Dubai offering the International Baccalaureate, EYFS curricula. At Horizon Kids Nursery, Little Horizon Nursery offers the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum. Little Horizon Nursery's curriculum is delivered by qualified Early Years teachers, supported by trained teaching assistants, class room assistants, nurses and housekeepers.

Horizon Kids Nursery supports and extends children’s knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence, and help them to overcome any challenges in a warm and friendly environment, where they can feel safe and secure. Children can move freely within nursery areas and learn in a range of different environments.

Horizon Kids Nursery has assigned valuable space to multi-purpose rooms. Little Horizon Nursery has an Arts Room, Sensory Room, Gym, Learning Resource Centre, Wet Play Area and Library. There is also extensive outdoor play equipment and Little Horizon Nursery promote the development and sustainability of the natural environment through the nursery's gardening projects.

the nursery builds positive relationships with parents in order to work in partnership with them. Little Horizon Nursery encourages parents to spend time in the nursery to support transitions between class rooms and promote their child’s experience. Parents are invited to attend events and the nursery encourages parent participation and promotes project working at home.

Horizon Kids Nursery offers parents the opportunity to extend their children’s session by utilizing the nursery's extra activity programme. Activities are provided by www.soccerstallionssportsacademy.com and include: Ballet, Gymnastics, Football, Tennis, and Music and Movement. These activities have been chosen to support the holistic development of each child.

For the youngest of children, Little Horizon Nursery has recently refurbished the nursery's baby unit. This has a calm, cosy, home from home atmosphere, that promotes a feeling of care and comfort, where babies are safe and stimulated in an age appropriate environment, cared for under the guidance of a nurse.

Finally, Little Horizon Nursery keep the nursery's ratios low, the nursery's class sizes small and use key person groups to support children’s care, learning and play in a more personal way. The key person approach enables the nursery's children and families to build a special bond with a member of the team, not necessarily the Teacher. This means that each member of the team is a valued contributor to each child’s learning and development, ultimately offering a holistic approach.
