It is during the daily activities, conversations and interactions with extended family that a child learns about the world. Therefore, partnerships enable the staff to learn about the child’s personal life, habits and culture thus enabling teachers to integrate aspects of the child’s culture into the nursery life. Partnerships with parents help the parents to feel comfortable about approaching the staff with any worries or concerns, which in turn benefits the child’s development and safety.
